The Empty Set was born from the ashes of Ann Arbor's Nonfiction, but in contrast, the majority of Laurence Miller's songwriting delved further inside the playful sensibilities of 60’s pop psychedelia. Superficially based in L.A., The Empty Set was a 3-piece with session players both studio and 'live'. Though Laurence was ready to move on, the band did come to an end on a sour note in late 1991.
