This last Empty Set collection marks the final attempt we made, collectively, to gain a licensing deal and secure record label interest. Grunge was becoming the new popular style, so as a last ditch effort, it was decided to get back to our roots and give it one last shot.

In that process, we ditched the trippier fairytale rock pursuit I had originally started with the band in 1985, and went ahead to record a handful of rougher tunes as our new official demo {the 1st 6 songs}. One was penned by twin brother Benjamin Miller and another by Michael Davis.

But - I had been sober for awhile at this point and had ventured into new musical directions, and we soon disbanded. The ‘live’ cuts are from our last final show together, in L.A., June 1991. Additional bonus cuts are from various demos in 1985.

Though it’s been 30 years since I’ve had any communication from my rhythm section, having disbanded under discolored terms in 1992, the music lives on. That said, I do deeply appreciate my band-mates’ time & effort spent with me back then. We had something special and that’s what I want to share now.
